In the current context where environmental cares predominate, many directives and regulations regarding registration, use, labelling, transport of chemical substances and ecolabels are rising up. BfB laboratory proposes a series of tests that allow an estimation of potential, exposition duration, and toxicity. Those tests, performed according to national and international methods (OECD, ISO…) are notably:

• acute toxicities over aquatic organisms (algae, daphnia, shrimps, fishes and bacteria);

• primary and ultimate biodegradability, easily or potential;

• water solubility, potential for bioaccumulation, surface tension;

• hydrocarbons content in water and soil;

• BOD, COD;

• …

Those tests are realised with the support of our analytical laboratory, which offers techniques like GC, HPLC, FTIR, X-Ray FS, ICP-OES, and AAS… Our scientists have gained their experience in testing a large product range, in participating to elaboration of technical procedures, studies and inter laboratory testing programs. The BfB laboratory guaranties the maintenance of its analytical performances by a sustained investment in new equipment.
