The analysis of your sample

On receipt of your sample, IESPM conducts a set of tests and measurements :

– Oil stain test (determines the fouling of the engine, the oxidation condition of the oil, the level of residual dispersion and the presence of water or fuel) – Viscosity measurement related to the grade of the oil (5W30, 15W40, etc.). It determines whether carbon particles are present, an overhigh operating temperature, shear of the lubricant, etc. – Emission spectrometry (quantifies the metals, such as iron, lead, copper, present in the oil and certain pollutants (sodium, silica, potassium, boron, etc.) – Infrared spectrometry (“fingerprint” of the lubricant) determines the quality of the oil, its possible degradation and its contamination by foreign products – Particle quantifier evidences the presence of ferromagnetic particles associated with severe wear – Dilution, quantity of unburnt fuel in the oil

Analysis and diagnostic
All IESPM analyses are supplied with a diagnostic and an interpretation of the results by a dedicated technician-diagnostician.
